Conscious versus Unconscious
Summary
- The analogy of a path as life and where we can take detours and not get to where we want to be and become.
- There is a part of our life we are conscious. And in some cases even when we’re conscious we’re not really aware.
- Some of our daily choices often go unchecked. And reminding ourselves of those increases our awareness.
- There is an enormous part of our daily lives where we make decisions that we’re unconscious of.
- Little interactions
- Little purchases
- Little emotions
- On the path, we have distractions, bait that comes up and often it leads us down a path we didn’t consciously want to be on.
- We get a signal when we see a result that we didn’t want.
- Choosing a path isn’t the same as creating the path.
- You create your path knowing that there will be obstacles and along the way distractions.
- We can take pauses and breaks (me time) intentionally so that we can tackle the obstacles.
- But notice which distractions/pauses we can that aren’t intentional. Ask yourself the quality of those breaks? Are they negative like a negative friend, reading information on the internet that is consistently negative.
