How the Little Things Build
Summary
- Understanding the everyday irritations and frustrations that we tend to ignore can help get our anger when we yell (or do other things we regret).
- Look at something that irritates you about your partner or kids on a daily basis.
- Don’t pick up; How they eat; Don’t flush the toilet.
- We tend to brush off these little irritations because we excuse it away with our inner voice.
- We silently dismiss our right to feel how we feel about a situation. We, in essence, ‘should’ on ourselves when it comes to feelings.
- When we should on our feelings, no matter how small, it builds in our body.
- At a certain moment, under stress (illness, exhaustion) we then express the build up anger in ways we regret like yelling.
- We often then mask why we’re truly angry and then loose clarity to finding the best solution for ourselves.
