How to Get a Handle on Your Anger

Summary

  • There are four steps to stop yelling. Authrosing anger is the second step after Releasing the Guilt (see previous episode).
  • Authority anger is permission to yell, to be angry, plan on yelling.
  • The permission will help you control anger (which is counterintuitive).
  • Give yourself one hour each day to be angry and yell.
  • Since you’re already yelling, you might as well get the insight.
  • The insight comes from releasing the resistance to anger and yelling. Your brain opens up space to understanding the root cause of anger.
  • Track the ‘allowed hour’ of yelling for 14 days as well as the times you don’t.
